“ Amici have reopened with new owners and a completely new offering. Much as I loved the old cafe, this is an Italian restaurant with proper restaurant quality food served on Friday and Saturday evenings 6-10pm. The food was excellent - we had pizza (crispy base, tasty sauce and toppings) and one of the veal dishes with rosemary potatoes - superbly cooked - a proper taste of Italy. The tiramisu and wine were also excellent. With ZaZa gone from Ricky, it would be fabulous if local people supported this new venture as the food is excellent. We will be back on our next free weekend! ”
“ Nice tasty food at reasonable prices (ordered through Deliveroo) ”
“ Popped in for lunch before a long journey, absolutely delicious food and desserts! Great portion sizes too! Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend! ”
“ Today I visited Cafe Amici after few weeks of been closed, I have to say that I ate best Ravioli Asparagus, it was just amazing, the waitress said they just opened couple of weeks ago. Well done to the chef and the servers. Menu looks great and they even have Pizzas now. Exchellent experience overall. ”
“ Delightful cafe, attentive staff and very relaxed setting. Food was great and served perfectly. There's a very good reason for all the trip advisor awards on display. Highly recommend, thank you ”
“ Delicious food. Highly recommend if you want a really reasonably priced delicious Italian lunch. Go for pasta!! It’s a super simple little side street cafe, parking right outside, the pasta is awesome, large portions, full of flavour and this huge bowl of carbonara is gluten free penne!! They can swap out most pasta dishes for gluten free penne!! ”
“ This was a lucky find after a suggestion from someone on the towpath. Had a great takeaway coffee yesterday and today I sat outside with a coffee and an egg baguette. The baguette was freshly cooked and still warm and the filling clearly fresh. Absolutely lovely. Staff friendly and pleasant and everywhere was lovely and clean. The food other customers were eating looked lovely as well! Can't wait to go back. If you're on a boat it's no more than a 10 minute walk from the canal. Access is via Bridge 169. Facing the railway bridge and lock 78 go left. In a few hundred yards you'll see the Harvester - keep the Harvester to your left and you'll see a parade of shops - Cafe Amici is on the left at the end of the parade. If you're in a car there is some parking but if there's no spaces turn up the side street. Really nice to find a lovely independent cafe serving great food and coffee at a very reasonable price! ”
“ friendly service and the food is tasty and well priced. coffee is really good too. This isn't a family friendly place as its so close to the road, but if you have a child in a pram or older children its fine. I personally like it for lunch/coffee meetings with friends. ”
